- Recycling Market Development Zone (RMDZ)
Is your company part of the solution? Using recycled materials to make new products is on the solution side of the solution/problem equation. If the answer is 'yes', then your company may be eligible for some great perks. For instance, the Recycling Market Development Zone Loan Program offers low interest rates to eligible borrowers located within a zone. See the map below to view the Contra Costa County RMDZ boundaries.
There are many other resources available to companies who make recycled content products and reduce waste in manufacturing. The Contra Costa County RMDZ developed this website to assist businesses who utilize recycled materials in their processes.

The Contra Costa County Recycling Market Development Zone follows the Industrial Shoreline of the County (green areas on the above map). Starting in the City of El Cerrito the zone heads north, following the shorelines of the San Francisco and San Pablo Bays, encompassing the cities of Richmond, San Pablo, Pinole, and Hercules. At the Carquinez Straits, the zone then heads East including the cities of Martinez, Concord, Pittsburg, Antioch, Oakley and Brentwood going up into the Sacramento Delta waterways. All unincorporated areas and communities in-between these cities are also part of the Contra Costa RMDZ (such as El Sobrante, Rodeo, Crockett, Port Costa, Pacheco, Bay Point and Byron).
